What is Korean Botox?

"Botox" is commonly used as a general name for botulinum toxin type A injections. Several toxin products are manufactured in Korea and approved for cosmetic use by Korean regulators. Like other toxins, they work by temporarily blocking the nerve signal that tells a muscle to contract. The muscle relaxes, which can soften expression lines or, over several weeks, reduce the bulk of an overworked muscle.

Who is it suited to?

Korean toxin treatments are commonly chosen by adults who want to soften lines from frowning, raising the brows or smiling (see wrinkle Botox ), slim a square jaw (see jaw Botox ), or contour areas such as the calves or shoulders (see body Botox ). Toxin is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with certain neuromuscular conditions; your physician reviews your medical history first.

How treatment works at Daybeau Seomyeon

  1. Consultation and assessment of your muscle movement and goals under physician supervision.
  2. The area is cleansed and injection points are marked.
  3. Small amounts of toxin are placed with a fine needle.
  4. You can usually return to normal activities straight away.

Korean toxin vs. imported toxin

Korean and imported toxins share the same active ingredient type and a similar mechanism. Differences between products relate to formulation, unit dosing and price. The suitable product and dose are confirmed at consultation. For finer skin-level effects you can also compare skin Botox and micro Botox , or return to the Botox hub .

Aftercare

For the first day, avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, lying flat for a few hours, saunas and intense exercise. Mild redness or tiny bumps typically fade quickly. Contact the clinic if you notice anything unusual.
