Yes, but understand what one session can do

Many travellers to Busan wonder whether they can fit laser hair removal into a few days in the city. The short answer is yes: a session is usually quick, there is little downtime, and you can walk out and continue sightseeing. What a short trip cannot do is replace a full course. Laser only affects hair follicles in their active growth phase, so lasting reduction needs a series of sessions spaced weeks apart.

A single session can still be worthwhile. It lets you try the treatment, see how your skin responds, get a doctor's view on how many sessions you might need, and enjoy some temporary reduction. If you visit Busan regularly, you can build a course across trips.

How to plan laser around a short stay

A few planning choices make a big difference:

  • Book early in your trip. If any redness or irritation appears, it will have time to settle before you fly home.
  • Avoid beach days straight after. Busan's beaches are tempting, but strong sun on freshly treated skin raises the risk of irritation and pigment changes. Plan beach time before treatment or protect the area well.
  • Skip saunas and jjimjilbang for a short period. Heat and steam can aggravate treated skin.
  • Shave beforehand. Arrive with the area shaved as instructed; do not wax or pluck in the weeks before.
  • Message in advance. Tell the clinic which areas you want treated so enough time is reserved.
  • Allow for consultation time. A doctor assesses your skin before treatment, so the visit is longer than the laser itself.

Which areas suit a short trip best

Small areas such as the upper lip and underarms take only minutes. Larger areas such as the lower arms, calves or Brazilian take longer but can still fit into a single appointment. Several areas can often be treated on the same day if your skin tolerates it.

Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon lists laser hair removal with the GentleMax Pro and Fotona Avalanche. First-visit prices for one session, in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026, as GentleMax Pro women / men and Fotona Avalanche women / men:

  • Upper lip. 1,000 / 1,000; 9,000 / 25,000.
  • Front chin. Men: 10,000 (GentleMax Pro); 35,000 (Fotona Avalanche).
  • Underarms. 1,000 / 2,000; 9,000 / 30,000.
  • Lower arms. 39,000 / 79,000; 59,000 / 119,000.
  • Calves. 49,000 / 99,000; 69,000 / 149,000.
  • Brazilian including perianal. 49,000 / 139,000; 99,000 / 199,000.
  • Numbing spray. KRW 5,000 per session.

First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. Payment is made at the clinic on the day, after the consultation confirms your plan. See the price list for details.

Who should wait

A short trip is not the right time for laser if:

  • You are freshly tanned or sunburned. Treatment is usually postponed until skin recovers.
  • You are pregnant. Elective laser is generally postponed; consult a doctor.
  • You have active infection or irritation in the area. It should heal first.
  • You recently waxed or plucked. The follicle needs a hair for the laser to target.
  • You take medications that increase light sensitivity. Tell the doctor; timing may need to change.

Continuing treatment after you leave

If you start in Busan, you have a few options. You can return on a future trip and continue, or continue with a clinic at home. Ask the doctor which device and settings were used so you can share them. Keeping to a regular interval matters, but a longer gap does not undo previous progress; treatment can simply resume. Visiting from overseas? The foreigner-friendly clinic page covers language support and booking.

The clinic is in Ion City Building 15F (Room 1501), 74 Seomyeon-ro, a short walk from Seomyeon Station, and is open Monday to Friday 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 16:00, which makes it easy to fit around sightseeing.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a laser appointment take?

Small areas take only minutes of laser time. Add time for registration and consultation, and allow longer for multiple or large areas.

Can I fly the day after laser?

Generally, mild redness does not prevent flying. Moisturise, protect from sun and follow aftercare advice.

Will I see results before I leave?

Treated hairs often shed over the following days to weeks. Long-term reduction builds over several sessions, and results vary.

Can I book on a weekend?

The clinic is open on Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00. Weekend slots can fill quickly, so message ahead.
