Thermage FLX in brief

Thermage FLX is a non-surgical treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the deeper layers of the skin. The heat is intended to support tightening and smoother skin texture over time. It is commonly used on the face, around the eyes and on the neck, and sometimes on body areas. In Korea, Thermage is a well-known name, and many visitors to Seomyeon ask about it.

Thermage and Ultherapy are often mentioned together, but they are different. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound aimed at specific deeper points, while Thermage uses radiofrequency to heat a broader volume of tissue. Some people are better suited to one, some to the other, and some to neither.

Because it is a significant investment and an energy-based treatment, it is worth asking good questions before booking. This guide sets out what to ask and what to expect.

Questions to ask before booking Thermage

  • Is it genuine Thermage FLX? Ask which device generation is used and whether genuine tips are used. Genuine tips are typically single-use for a set number of shots.
  • How many shots are planned? The number of shots varies by area and skin, and has a direct effect on the plan and price.
  • Which areas will be treated? Full face, eyes, neck, or a combination.
  • Who assesses me? A doctor should examine your skin and decide whether Thermage is suitable or whether another option fits better.
  • How is comfort managed? Thermage can feel hot. Ask about numbing and how energy levels are adjusted to your comfort.
  • What are the risks? Ask the doctor to explain common after-effects and rarer complications.
  • Is VAT included? Check whether the price includes the 10% VAT.

How Thermage is priced at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, Thermage FLX is not on the published price list. It is quoted after an in-person consultation, because the number of shots and areas the doctor recommends varies from person to person. This lets the doctor build a plan for your skin rather than a fixed package. You will be told the total before treatment, and payment is made at the clinic on the day of treatment after the consultation confirms the plan.

For more about the treatment, visit our Thermage FLX page.

Thermage compared with other lifting options

Thermage is one of several energy-based options. Others work at different depths or with different energy types. The doctor may discuss these listed alternatives (first-visit, KRW, VAT excluded, 10% VAT added at payment, checked October 2026):

  • InMode FX full face. 45,000
  • Shurink Universe 300 shots. 55,000
  • ONDA 20,000J. 89,000
  • Titanium 30KJ. 290,000
  • Sofwave 100 shots. 800,000
  • Ultherapy Prime 300 shots. 990,000

Other radiofrequency devices, such as Oligio, are sometimes compared with Thermage online. You can ask during consultation which options are available and how they differ. See all listed items on our price list.

What to expect during and after treatment

The treatment usually starts with cleansing and, often, numbing cream. A temporary grid may be placed on the skin to guide treatment. During treatment, you will feel pulses of heat, sometimes with a cooling sensation. The doctor or treating staff will check your comfort throughout.

Afterwards, temporary redness and mild swelling are common and usually settle within a short time. Some people notice tenderness. Rarely, blistering, changes in skin texture or other complications can occur with radiofrequency devices, which is why proper technique and assessment matter. Results tend to develop gradually over the following months and vary between people; they are not guaranteed.

Please tell the doctor if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the treatment area, are pregnant, or have a skin condition in the area. These may affect suitability, so consult a doctor.

A few booking tips for visitors to Seomyeon:

  • Message ahead. Tell us your goals, areas of concern and travel dates so the doctor can plan time for consultation.
  • Allow enough time. Consultation, numbing and treatment together can take a while.
  • Avoid planning heat exposure straight after. Saunas and strong sun are best avoided for a short time.
