What "full body" laser hair removal really means

"Full body" is not a single standard treatment. Different people mean different things: some want legs, underarms and bikini; others add arms, face, back or chest. Because each zone has its own hair type, sensitivity and number of sessions, a full body plan is really a combination of separate areas treated in a sensible order.

If you are considering a larger plan in Busan, it helps to think in terms of priorities: which areas bother you most, how many visits you can realistically attend, and how much time you have on each trip.

Common treatment areas

Most full body plans are built from these zones:

  • Face. Upper lip and chin for women; beard areas for men. Facial hair can be hormonally driven and may need maintenance.
  • Underarms. Small, quick and often the first area people try.
  • Arms. Lower arms are common; upper arms may be added.
  • Legs. Calves, knees and thighs. Larger areas take longer per session.
  • Bikini and Brazilian. Sensitive but popular; see the bikini and Brazilian page.
  • Back, chest and abdomen. More often requested by men.

Listed prices for individual areas

Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon offers laser hair removal with the GentleMax Pro and the Fotona Avalanche. These first-visit prices per session are in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026. Prices are listed as GentleMax Pro women / men, then Fotona Avalanche women / men:

  • Upper lip. 1,000 / 1,000; 9,000 / 25,000.
  • Front chin. Men only: GentleMax Pro 10,000; Fotona Avalanche 35,000.
  • Underarms. 1,000 / 2,000; 9,000 / 30,000.
  • Lower arms. 39,000 / 79,000; 59,000 / 119,000.
  • Calves. 49,000 / 99,000; 69,000 / 149,000.
  • Brazilian including perianal. 49,000 / 139,000; 99,000 / 199,000.
  • Numbing spray. KRW 5,000 per session.

Areas not listed, such as thighs, upper arms, back, chest or a combined full body plan, are quoted after an in-person consultation. First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. The full list is on the price list.

Planning a multi-area course

Laser only affects follicles in their active growth phase, so every area needs a series of sessions spaced weeks apart. When you combine several areas, the planning question becomes how to fit them together.

  • Treat several areas on the same day. This is often the most efficient approach, especially for visitors, as long as your skin tolerates it.
  • Start with priority areas. If budget or time is limited, begin with the zones that bother you most and add others later.
  • Keep a consistent interval. Different areas may follow slightly different schedules; the doctor will advise.
  • Allow enough time per visit. Large areas such as legs take longer, so tell the clinic in advance what you want treated.
  • Plan around holidays. Avoid sessions just before beach trips, since sun exposure after treatment raises the risk of irritation and pigment changes.

Choosing a device and setting expectations

The doctor selects the device and settings according to your skin tone, hair colour and the area being treated. Darker skin tones and very sensitive areas may need a more cautious approach. Light, grey or red hair generally does not respond well to laser, regardless of the device.

Results vary. Most people experience gradual reduction over a course, with softer and sparser regrowth, rather than complete removal after a fixed number of visits. Hormonal areas, such as the face, may need occasional maintenance.

Common short-term effects include redness, small bumps around follicles and mild warmth. Less common risks include blistering and pigment changes. Tell the doctor about medications, pregnancy, skin conditions and recent tanning before treatment.

Preparing for a large session

  • Shave all areas beforehand. Follow the clinic's instructions on timing.
  • Do not wax, pluck or use epilators. The root must remain in the follicle.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Treated skin can feel warm afterwards.
  • Consider numbing spray. For sensitive areas it can make the session more comfortable.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do my whole body in one visit?

Several areas can often be treated on the same day, but it depends on your skin, the areas chosen and appointment time. Tell the clinic in advance so enough time is reserved.

Is there a full body package price?

A combined full body price is not on the published list. It is quoted after consultation, based on the areas you choose and the device.

Should men and women expect different results?

Male body and facial hair is often denser and more hormonally driven, which can mean more sessions in some areas. Your doctor will explain what to expect for you.

How do I know which device I will get?

The doctor recommends a device after assessing your skin and hair. You are welcome to ask why one option suits you.
