Why opening hours matter more when you travel

At home, a clinic's opening hours are a minor detail. As a traveller, they can decide whether a treatment fits your trip at all. You may be working around flights, ferry times, tours or a cruise schedule, and you may be in a different time zone when you first try to book. Understanding how Korean skin clinics typically handle hours and reservations helps you plan with fewer surprises.

A reservation also does more than hold a time slot. It lets the clinic arrange a consultation in your language, prepare for the treatments you are interested in, and give you a realistic idea of how long the visit will take.

This guide explains what international patients should know about clinic hours, weekends and holidays, booking channels, and how to make the most of your reservation.

Typical opening hours at Korean skin clinics

Many aesthetic and dermatology clinics in Korea keep longer weekday hours than visitors may expect, often including evenings, with shorter hours on Saturdays. Sunday opening is less common, and hours can change around public holidays. Always check the specific clinic rather than assuming.

Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon is open:

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 20:00
  • Saturday: 10:00 to 16:00

Weekday evenings are useful if you spend the day sightseeing, while Saturday appointments suit weekend visitors but tend to fill more quickly because hours are shorter.

Public holidays and peak seasons

Korea has several major public holidays, including Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok (the autumn harvest festival), which follow the lunar calendar and change dates every year. Clinic schedules may differ around these periods, and travel in Korea becomes busier.

  • Check holiday dates. If your trip overlaps a Korean public holiday, ask the clinic about its schedule when you book.
  • Book earlier in busy periods. School holidays and peak travel seasons can mean fewer available slots.
  • Plan transport. Trains and flights around major holidays can sell out, which affects how you reach Busan.

How to reserve as an international patient

Korean clinics use a mix of messaging apps and online booking. At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon you can reserve through:

  • WhatsApp. Convenient for most overseas visitors, with replies in English and prices in KRW.
  • KakaoTalk. Korea's most widely used messaging app.
  • Naver Booking. A common Korean online reservation platform.
  • Phone. +82 51-925-7890 during opening hours, Korean time.

When messaging, include your name, preferred date and time, preferred consultation language (English, Japanese or Korean), treatments you are interested in and any relevant medical details.

Time zones and response times

Korea Standard Time is UTC+9 and Korea does not use daylight saving time. If you message outside clinic hours, replies may arrive the next working day. To avoid delays:

  • Message well before your trip. Give the clinic time to confirm a slot.
  • Write dates clearly. Use a format such as "Tuesday 10 November" to avoid confusion between date formats.
  • Use Korean time. State your preferred appointment time in Korean time.

Making the most of your reservation

  • Arrive a little early. Registration takes time for new patients. Bring your passport.
  • Allow enough time. Consultation, numbing and treatment can take longer than the treatment itself. Do not book right before a flight.
  • Let the clinic know if you are delayed. A quick message helps them adjust.
  • Confirm prices before treatment. Payment is made at the clinic on the day of treatment after the consultation confirms the plan.

Some Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon first-visit prices in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT is added at payment), checked October 2026, from the price list: Wrinkle Botox (Korean toxin, 1 area) KRW 3,000, Aquapeel steps 1 and 2 KRW 9,900, Pico Light Black Toning KRW 29,000 and Shurink Universe 300 shots KRW 55,000. Fillers, threads, Juvelook and Sculptra are quoted after an in-person consultation. First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. Suitability and results vary, and the doctor decides at consultation. For more on visiting as an overseas patient, see our English-speaking dermatology page.
