Juvelook in Korea: How It Works, Expected Results and Treatment Prices

What Juvelook is
Juvelook is an injectable treatment developed in Korea that combines poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) with hyaluronic acid. PDLLA is a biocompatible material that gradually breaks down in the body, and it is used with the aim of stimulating the skin's own collagen production. The hyaluronic acid component helps with hydration and smooth placement.
Because it works by encouraging collagen rather than filling space directly, Juvelook is usually described as a collagen-stimulating skin booster rather than a traditional filler. You can read more on our Juvelook page.
How Juvelook works in the skin
After the product is injected, the hyaluronic acid provides immediate moisture, while the PDLLA particles remain in the tissue for longer. Over the following weeks, the body responds to these particles and may build new collagen around them. As the PDLLA slowly breaks down, the hope is that some of this collagen support remains.
There are different Juvelook products. "Juvelook" (sometimes called Juvelook Skin) is generally aimed at skin quality, while "Juvelook Volume" (also called Lenisna) has a different formulation intended for areas that need more support. Which product is appropriate, and whether it is suitable for you at all, is decided by the doctor at consultation.
Expected results and timeline
Juvelook is a gradual treatment. It is important to set realistic expectations:
- Right after treatment. The skin may look slightly plumper from swelling and hydration, but this is not the final result.
- First few weeks. Swelling settles, and any collagen response begins slowly.
- Over several months. Some patients notice improvements in texture, fine lines, pores or skin firmness. The degree of change varies widely.
- Multiple sessions. Many plans involve more than one session spaced weeks apart, because collagen building is cumulative.
Results depend on age, skin condition, the amount of product and individual response. No clinic can guarantee an outcome, and some people see only a subtle difference.
Treatment prices: why Juvelook is quoted after consultation
At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, Juvelook is quoted after an in-person consultation. The amount of product varies a great deal depending on the area treated, the type of Juvelook and your goals, so a fixed number would not be meaningful.
When comparing Juvelook quotes in Korea, it helps to check:
- Product type. Juvelook and Juvelook Volume are different products.
- Number of vials. Quotes may be per vial, per area or per session.
- Genuine, sealed product. Ask to see the product opened.
- Injection method. Some clinics use needles, cannulas or injection devices, which can affect the session.
- VAT and conditions. Check whether VAT is included and whether a price is first-visit only.
Prices for treatments with fixed listings, including other skin boosters such as Rejuran, Water Glow and Exosome, are shown on our price list in KRW, VAT excluded (first-visit prices, checked October 2026).
Side effects and aftercare
Common, generally temporary effects after Juvelook include:
- Swelling. Often noticeable for a few days.
- Redness and injection marks. Usually fade within a short time.
- Bruising. Possible and may take a week or so to fade.
- Small bumps. May be felt at first and usually soften.
Collagen-stimulating products can occasionally lead to nodules (small firm lumps) that persist. Correct placement, dilution and following aftercare instructions help reduce risk. Your doctor may advise gentle massage or specific care. If you notice increasing pain, colour changes in the skin, or lumps that do not settle, contact a doctor promptly. Pregnant or breastfeeding patients, and anyone with autoimmune conditions or active skin infections, should discuss this with a doctor first.
Is Juvelook suitable for a short trip?
Juvelook can be done in a single visit, but because results build slowly and swelling may last a few days, it is best not to schedule it right before an important event. If you plan a series, discuss timing with the doctor, including whether follow-up sessions can be done on a later trip.
Some patients also compare Juvelook with Sculptra, Rejuran or other collagen boosters. Our collagen boosters page gives an overview.
Frequently asked questions
Is Juvelook a filler?
Not in the traditional sense. It is designed to stimulate collagen gradually rather than add immediate volume, although Juvelook Volume is intended for areas needing more support.
How much does Juvelook cost at your clinic?
Juvelook is quoted after an in-person consultation because the product type and amount vary. The plan and price are confirmed before treatment, and you pay on the day.
How long do results last?
It varies between individuals. Because PDLLA breaks down slowly, effects may develop and persist over months, but there is no fixed duration.
