One brand, two formulas

Juvelook is a Korean injectable that combines a polylactic acid component (PDLLA) with hyaluronic acid. It is designed to encourage gradual collagen support in the skin. You may see it described in two versions: the standard formula, often called Juvelook Skin or simply Juvelook, and Juvelook Volume. The names give a hint about their purposes, but the details matter when you are planning treatment.

This guide explains the general differences in injection goals, technique and how costs are quoted, so you can ask informed questions at consultation.

Juvelook Skin: focused on skin quality

The standard Juvelook formula is generally used to improve the quality of the skin itself. It is often discussed for:

  • Fine texture irregularities. Uneven skin surface and fine lines.
  • Mild acne scarring. As one part of a broader scar plan.
  • Enlarged-looking pores. Where reduced firmness makes pores look more visible.
  • Thin or tired-looking skin. Supporting skin resilience over time.

It is typically injected into the superficial layers of the skin, across a wider area, using many small injection points or a device-assisted technique, depending on the doctor's approach.

Juvelook Volume: focused on gentle volume support

Juvelook Volume is designed for deeper placement and areas where some volume support is wanted. It is often discussed for:

  • Mild hollowing. For example, slight volume loss at the temples or cheeks.
  • Deeper texture concerns. Some patients with more pronounced scarring or depressions.
  • Gradual contour support. Subtle, natural-looking change rather than precise shaping.

Because it is placed deeper, the injection technique is more selective and the doctor will pay close attention to facial anatomy. It works gradually, unlike a hyaluronic acid filler, and cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Careful planning by an experienced doctor is important.

Key differences in injection goals

  • Depth. Juvelook Skin is placed more superficially; Juvelook Volume is placed deeper.
  • Purpose. Skin is for texture and quality; Volume is for gentle support in areas of volume loss.
  • Technique. The injection method and spread differ, and Volume is often placed more selectively.
  • Combination. Some doctors use both in the same plan, treating different layers or areas.
  • Timeline. Both work gradually, often over a course of sessions.

What drives cost differences

Patients often ask why Juvelook prices vary. In general terms, cost depends on:

  • Which formula is used. The two versions are different products.
  • How much product is needed. The number of vials varies with the area and goal.
  • Number of sessions. A course costs more overall than a single session.
  • Injection method. Hand injection and device-assisted injection may be priced differently.
  • Combined treatments. Adding laser or other boosters changes the total.

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, Juvelook is quoted after an in-person consultation because the amount of product varies. It is not on the fixed price list. When you receive a quote, ask which formula is planned, how many vials, how many sessions and whether VAT is included. For reference, listed skin boosters such as Water Glow 2cc (39,000 KRW), Exosome 2.5cc (49,000 KRW) and Rejuran 2cc (139,000 KRW) are first-visit prices in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026.

Side effects, aftercare and choosing a formula

Both formulas can cause swelling, redness, small bumps and bruising at injection points, which usually settle within a short time. Juvelook Volume, placed deeper, may cause more noticeable swelling or tenderness at first. Because both contain a collagen-stimulating ingredient, small lumps or nodules can occasionally occur. Follow your doctor's instructions on massage and aftercare, and contact the clinic if you notice firm lumps, increasing pain or colour changes. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor first. Read more on our Juvelook page.

As for choosing, many patients do not need to decide alone. The doctor will examine your skin and face, ask about your goals, and suggest one formula, both, or a different option altogether. Bringing clear photos of your concerns and sharing your travel schedule makes the conversation more useful, especially since both formulas are often planned over several sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Is Juvelook Volume more expensive than Juvelook Skin?

Costs depend on the formula, amount of product and sessions. Both are quoted after consultation, so ask for a clear breakdown.

Can I have both formulas in one session?

Some doctors combine them for different layers or areas. Whether this suits you is decided at consultation.

Which formula is better for acne scars?

Either may be discussed, depending on scar depth and type, often alongside laser or microneedling. The doctor will advise.
