Why Korean clinics run promotions

If you browse Korean skin clinic websites, Instagram pages or booking apps, you will quickly notice event prices, first-visit offers and seasonal promotions. Promotions are a normal part of how the Korean aesthetic market works. Competition between clinics is strong, especially in busy districts like Seomyeon in Busan, and many clinics use introductory prices to welcome new patients.

A promotion is not a problem in itself. The important thing is understanding exactly what the price includes, who it applies to, and whether the treatment is right for you. This guide explains how to check offers calmly so you can compare them fairly.

Common types of offers you will see

  • First-visit prices. A lower price that applies once per new patient per item. At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, the prices on our price list are first-visit prices, and they apply once per new patient for each item.
  • Seasonal or monthly events. Time-limited prices on specific treatments, often announced on social media or booking platforms.
  • Package or multi-session offers. A set number of sessions bought together, common for toning lasers, hair removal and skin boosters.
  • Combination offers. Two treatments done on the same day at a combined price.
  • Platform-specific prices. Some booking apps show prices that differ from a clinic's own website, sometimes with their own conditions.

Conditions to check before you book

Most confusion comes from conditions written in small print or only in Korean. Before you book, ask the clinic to confirm these points in writing, for example by WhatsApp or KakaoTalk:

  • VAT. Is the price shown with or without the 10% VAT? Our listed prices are VAT excluded, and VAT is added at payment.
  • Amount included. How many units, cc or shots? Compare "Shurink Universe 300 shots" with another offer only if the shot count is the same.
  • Brand or product. For Botox, is it a Korean toxin or an imported brand? For skin boosters, which product?
  • Who is treating you. Is the treatment performed or supervised by a doctor? Is there a consultation first?
  • Extras. Are numbing cream, tips or aftercare charged separately? For example, Potenza tips are charged separately at our clinic, and laser hair removal numbing spray is ₩5,000 per session.
  • Eligibility. Does the price apply to men and women equally, or only to certain areas or genders? Laser hair removal prices often differ by gender and body area.
  • Expiry date. When does the offer end, and does it apply on your travel dates?

Where to find current offers and how to verify them

The most reliable source is the clinic itself. Websites and social media posts can be out of date, so a quick message to confirm is always worthwhile. When you contact a clinic, include the exact treatment name, the amount listed and the date you saw the offer. A good clinic should reply with a clear price in KRW and explain any conditions.

Our current first-visit prices are published on our price list, in KRW with VAT excluded and checked October 2026. A few examples:

  • Wrinkle Botox, Korean toxin, 1 area. 3,000
  • Water Glow 2cc skin booster. 39,000
  • Pico Light Black Toning. 29,000
  • InMode FX full face. 45,000

Treatments that are not on the price list, such as fillers, thread lifts, Juvelook, Sculptra and Thermage FLX, are quoted after an in-person consultation because the amount of product or the treatment plan varies by person.

Keeping safety ahead of price

A lower price should never be the only reason to choose a treatment. Suitability and results vary between people, and a doctor should decide at consultation whether a treatment fits your skin, health and schedule. Be cautious of offers that skip the consultation, pressure you to decide immediately, or push additional treatments you did not ask about.

It is also worth being honest about downtime. Some lasers and microneedling treatments can cause redness or mild swelling for a few days, and injectables can cause bruising. If you are flying soon after treatment or have a special event, mention this so the doctor can plan sensibly. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a medical condition, consult a doctor before any cosmetic treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a first-visit price more than once?

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, first-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. Repeat sessions may be priced differently, so ask when you book if you plan to return.

Do I have to pay in advance to secure a promotion?

Not at our clinic. Payment is made at the clinic on the day of treatment, after the consultation confirms the plan.

Why does the same treatment have different prices on different apps?

Booking platforms may run their own events or show older information. Always confirm the current price and conditions directly with the clinic before your visit.

Will the doctor change my plan from what I booked?

Sometimes. If the doctor feels a different treatment or amount would suit you better, they will explain why and you can decide. You are never obliged to accept extra treatments.

Seen an offer and want to check it? Contact us or send a WhatsApp message with the treatment name, and we will confirm the current price in KRW.
