Pico Laser Package Prices: One Session vs Five Sessions in Korea

Why pico laser is usually done in a series

Pico lasers deliver energy in extremely short pulses, measured in picoseconds. In toning mode, they are used at gentle settings over the whole face to gradually address uneven tone, dullness and some types of pigmentation. Because toning is gentle by design, it is commonly done as a series rather than as a single strong session.

Each session typically takes a short time, and most people can return to normal activities straight afterwards. The trade-off for this low downtime is that changes tend to be subtle and cumulative, building over repeated visits rather than appearing dramatically after one treatment.

This is why many Korean clinics offer a choice between one session and a package of several sessions, often five or ten. Deciding between them depends on your skin, your goals and how long you will be in Korea.

Listed price for a single session

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, Pico Light Black Toning is listed at 29,000 KRW, first-visit price, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026. That is 31,900 KRW including VAT. You can see this and other laser prices on our price list.

The first-visit price applies once per new patient per item. Pricing for repeat sessions or multi-session courses is not on the price list, so please ask the clinic for a quote if you plan to return for further sessions. We do not want to quote a five-session figure here that may not match your plan.

One session vs five sessions: how to decide

When a single session can make sense

  • Short visits. If you are in Busan for only a few days, one session lets you try the treatment and see how your skin responds.
  • A general refresh. Some people choose a single toning session for brightness before an event.
  • Testing tolerance. If you have sensitive skin, starting with one session lets the doctor judge settings before planning more.

When a course is usually discussed

  • Pigmentation concerns. Uneven tone and some pigmentation tend to improve gradually over several sessions, if they respond at all.
  • Melasma. Melasma is a chronic condition that can recur. Doctors often prefer careful, repeated low-energy treatment combined with sun protection and skin care. See our melasma treatment page.
  • Living in or visiting Korea often. Residents and frequent visitors can follow a course at regular intervals.

A single session rarely shows the full effect a course is designed for, so set expectations accordingly. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.

What to compare in pico packages

If you compare pico packages between clinics, the number of sessions is only one part of the picture. Also check:

  • Device and mode. Different pico devices and settings exist. Pico Fraxel, for example, is a fractional mode aimed at texture rather than tone; you can ask during consultation which options are available.
  • Treatment area. Full face, specific spots, or face and neck.
  • Interval between sessions. Sessions are usually spaced out; ask how often the clinic recommends returning.
  • Validity period. How long a package can be used, which matters if you only visit Korea occasionally.
  • Doctor involvement. Whether a doctor assesses your skin and adjusts settings over the course.
  • VAT. Whether the 10% is already included.

Side effects and aftercare

Pico toning is generally well tolerated, but mild redness, a warm feeling or slight sensitivity can occur for a short time. Pigmentation can sometimes darken temporarily, and in some cases, particularly with melasma or darker skin types, laser treatment can trigger pigment changes. This is why careful settings and a doctor's assessment matter.

Daily sunscreen is essential during a course. If you are on a beach holiday in Busan, try to limit strong sun exposure right after treatment. Tell the doctor about any medication, recent sun exposure, or if you are pregnant, so they can advise whether treatment is suitable.

Pico Light Black Toning is 29,000 KRW, first-visit price, VAT excluded, checked October 2026.

Multi-session pricing is not on our published price list. Please contact us and we will tell you how follow-up sessions are priced for your plan.
