Why Thermage is priced by shots

Thermage FLX is a monopolar radiofrequency (RF) treatment that heats deeper layers of the skin while cooling the surface. Each pulse the doctor delivers through the treatment tip is counted as a "shot". Tips come with a set number of shots, which is why Thermage is commonly described as 300, 600 or 900 shots in Korean clinics.

The shot count is the single biggest factor in how a Thermage quote is structured. More shots generally mean more coverage of the treatment area or more passes over the same area, and the tip itself is a significant part of the cost. You can read about the treatment on our Thermage FLX page.

How Thermage FLX is priced at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, Thermage FLX is not on the fixed price list. It is quoted after an in-person consultation, because the appropriate shot count, tip type and areas differ between patients. The doctor confirms the plan and the price before treatment, and payment is made at the clinic on the day.

This article therefore does not list prices for each shot count. Instead, it explains what the numbers usually mean, so you can understand any quote you receive and compare like with like.

300, 600 and 900 shots: what the difference usually means

The exact distribution of shots depends on the doctor, the size of your face and your concerns. As a general guide:

  • 300 shots. Often discussed for a smaller area or a lighter session, for example the lower face or a focused zone. It may suit people with mild concerns, a smaller face or those trying the treatment for the first time.
  • 600 shots. Commonly discussed for the full face, allowing more even coverage of cheeks, jawline and other areas. It is often considered a middle option.
  • 900 shots. Usually discussed for full face plus additional areas such as the neck, or for more passes over the face. It may be considered for people with more noticeable laxity or larger treatment areas.

A higher shot count is not automatically better. More energy is not suitable for every face, and the right plan depends on skin thickness, laxity, comfort and goals. A doctor decides at consultation, and results vary between individuals.

Eye treatment and other tips

Thermage FLX uses different tips for different areas. An eye tip is designed for the delicate skin of the eyelids and around the eyes, and it is usually counted separately from face tips. If you are interested in both the face and eyes, ask whether the quote includes one tip or two, and how many shots each has.

What to check when comparing quotes

Thermage prices vary across Korea. Without comparing specific numbers, these factors generally explain the differences:

  • Shot count and tip type. Make sure two quotes describe the same number of shots and the same tip.
  • Genuine, new tips. Single-use genuine tips are important for both cost and safety. It is reasonable to ask to see the tip opened and to confirm the shot count on the device.
  • Who performs it. Ask whether a doctor plans and performs the treatment.
  • Comfort measures. Some quotes include numbing or other comfort options; others do not.
  • VAT and conditions. Check whether VAT (10% in Korea) is included and whether a price is a first-visit or limited offer.
  • Location and running costs. These affect prices in general terms between districts and cities.

Alternatives with listed prices

If you are comparing tightening and lifting options, the clinic lists several devices with fixed first-visit prices, in KRW, VAT excluded, checked October 2026:

  • Shurink Universe, 300 shots. 55,000 KRW.
  • ONDA, 20,000J. 89,000 KRW.
  • Titanium, 30KJ. 290,000 KRW.
  • Sofwave, 100 shots. 800,000 KRW.
  • Ultherapy Prime, 300 shots. 990,000 KRW.

These work in different ways and are not direct substitutes for Thermage. The doctor can explain which might suit your concern. See the full price list.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Thermage FLX 600 shots at your clinic?

Thermage FLX is quoted after an in-person consultation. The doctor confirms the shot count and tip that suit you, and the price is agreed before treatment.

Is 900 shots more effective than 600?

Not necessarily. More shots allow more coverage, but the right amount depends on your face and goals. Results vary between individuals.

Does more shots mean more downtime?

Downtime is usually short regardless, with redness or mild swelling common. Larger areas may simply mean more areas feel tender for a short time.
