Why Botox and skin boosters are often combined

Botox and skin boosters do different jobs, which is why many people in Korea choose them together. Botulinum toxin injections relax specific muscles, softening expression lines such as frown lines or forehead lines, or slimming a strong jaw muscle. Skin boosters are injected into the skin itself to support hydration, texture and a healthy-looking glow. One works on movement, the other on skin quality.

For example, someone with deep frown lines and dry, dull skin may find that Botox alone softens the lines but leaves the skin looking tired, while a skin booster alone improves glow but not the lines. Addressing both in one plan is a common reason people ask about combinations.

Because the two address separate concerns, combining them can be a practical way to refresh the face in one visit. Whether this suits you depends on your skin, your goals and your medical history, and the doctor will decide at consultation.

What affects the cost of a combination

When you compare Botox and skin booster combinations between clinics, several factors influence the final amount:

  • Number of Botox areas. Each wrinkle area is priced separately, so forehead and frown lines together count as two areas.
  • Toxin type. Korean toxins and imported brands are priced differently. You can ask during consultation which options are available.
  • Booster product and volume. Boosters vary in ingredients and cc, so compare like for like.
  • Repeat sessions. Skin boosters are often done as a course. First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item, so ask about follow-up pricing if you plan to return.
  • VAT. Check whether a price includes the 10% VAT.

Downtime, order and safety

Both treatments involve injections, so small bruises, redness, swelling or visible bumps from skin boosters can appear for a short time. Most people continue their day, but it is wise to avoid intense exercise, saunas and alcohol for a short period afterwards, following the doctor's aftercare advice.

Botox effects develop gradually over days rather than immediately, and skin booster results also tend to build over time. If you are travelling, schedule the visit early in your trip. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular condition or take blood-thinning medication, consult a doctor before treatment. Results and suitability vary between individuals.

Frequently asked questions

Can Botox and a skin booster be done on the same day?

In many cases yes, but it depends on the areas being treated and your skin. The doctor will decide the order and whether same-day treatment suits you.

Which skin booster should I choose?

It depends on your goals. Some people prioritise hydration, others skin texture or recovery support. The doctor will explain the differences between Water Glow, Exosome and Rejuran at consultation.

How long do the effects last?

Duration varies by person, treatment area and product. The doctor can give you a realistic idea based on your situation, but results are not guaranteed.

Is the total price confirmed before treatment?

Yes. Payment is made on the day of treatment after the consultation confirms your plan, so you will know the amount first.
