HIFU Treatment Prices in Busan: What Determines the Final Cost?

Why HIFU prices vary so much

If you search for HIFU in Busan, you will find a wide range of prices. HIFU, or high-intensity focused ultrasound, is a category of lifting treatment rather than a single product, and the final cost of a session depends on several factors. Understanding them helps you compare quotes fairly and avoid surprises at payment.

The main factors that determine the cost

1. The device

Different HIFU devices have very different purchase, maintenance and cartridge costs. Some include real-time ultrasound imaging, which allows the practitioner to see skin layers during treatment. Others are designed to be lighter, faster and easier to repeat. This is the single biggest reason prices differ.

2. Shot count

HIFU is usually priced by shots or lines. A shot is one delivery of energy. A quote that looks low may include fewer shots, so always check the number. More shots do not automatically mean a better result; the doctor decides how many are appropriate for your face.

3. Treatment area

A full face, a lower face only, the under-chin area and the neck each require different coverage. Adding areas increases the shot count and the cost.

4. Who performs the treatment

Some clinics have a doctor perform or closely supervise HIFU, while others delegate it. Ask who will treat you and how the plan is made.

5. Genuine cartridges and tips

Authentic consumables cost money. It is reasonable to ask whether genuine cartridges are used and whether you can see the cartridge or shot counter.

6. Combinations and extras

HIFU is often combined with RF, Botox or skin boosters. Numbing cream, soothing care and follow-up may or may not be included, depending on the clinic.

7. VAT and first-visit terms

In Korea, cosmetic treatments are generally subject to 10% VAT. Some clinics show prices with VAT and others without. First-visit or promotional prices may only apply once.

HIFU prices at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, the ultrasound-based lifting treatments on our list are:

  • Shurink Universe 300 shots. KRW 55,000.
  • Ultherapy Prime 300 shots. KRW 990,000.
  • Sofwave 100 shots. KRW 800,000.

These are first-visit prices in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026. First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. Sofwave uses its own ultrasound approach and is often discussed separately from conventional HIFU, but it is listed here because shot-based pricing works in a similar way. You can see all lifting prices on our price list.

The large gap between Shurink Universe and Ultherapy Prime reflects differences in the devices, their imaging, consumable costs and how they are typically used. Neither is automatically the right choice. A doctor will recommend one based on your skin, goals and budget.

How to compare quotes fairly

When you collect quotes from more than one clinic, compare them on the same terms:

  • Device name. Confirm the exact device and generation.
  • Number of shots. Make sure each quote covers the same amount.
  • Areas covered. Check whether the neck or under-chin is included.
  • VAT. Ask whether the price includes or excludes VAT.
  • Who treats you. Ask whether a doctor is involved.
  • Conditions. Ask whether the price is first-visit only, part of a package or limited in time.

It is also worth asking what happens if you have questions after you return home. A clinic that can answer messages in your language may be worth more to you than a small saving. Comparing on these points matters more than chasing the lowest number. A lower price that includes fewer shots may not be good value for your goals.

Safety and expectations

HIFU is non-invasive, but it still uses energy that can cause side effects. Common, usually temporary reactions include redness, swelling, tenderness and sometimes bruising. Less commonly, people may experience temporary numbness or nerve-related sensations. Results tend to develop gradually and vary from person to person. No price level guarantees a particular result. Frequently asked questions

Is a higher shot count always better?

No. The right number depends on your face and goals. Too few may not cover the area, but more is not automatically more effective.

Do I pay before or after the consultation?

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, payment is made on the day of treatment after the consultation confirms the plan.

Can I get a price before I arrive?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp or KakaoTalk and we will reply with listed prices in KRW. Final plans are confirmed in person.
