Combining shopping and a skin appointment

For many visitors, a Busan trip is part sightseeing, part shopping, and part self-care. Building a shopping day around a skin clinic appointment is a practical way to make the most of limited time. The key is order: some activities fit well before treatment, others are better afterwards, and a few are worth avoiding on the day altogether.

This guide suggests how to structure a shopping day in and around Seomyeon with a clinic appointment in the middle, plus tips on what to buy for aftercare and what to leave for another day.

Morning: shop first, while your skin is untouched

If your appointment is in the afternoon, the morning is ideal for walking-heavy shopping and outdoor browsing.

  • Department stores and the underground arcade. Seomyeon has large department stores and an underground shopping arcade connected to the station, useful in hot or rainy weather.
  • Street shops and fashion. Seomyeon's streets are lined with clothing, accessories and cosmetics shops.
  • Outdoor markets elsewhere. If you want to visit Nampo or Gukje Market, Line 1 connects directly to Seomyeon, so you can shop there in the morning and ride back for your appointment.
  • Do not test new products on your face. Avoid trying out new creams, peels or masks on the skin you are about to have treated. A reaction on the day can complicate the plan.

Midday: the clinic appointment

Allow enough time for registration, consultation, any numbing and the treatment itself. Do not schedule a tight lunch reservation straight after.

  • Arrive with a light bag. Store large shopping bags in a station locker or at your hotel if possible so you are comfortable at the clinic.
  • Bring your notes. A short list of concerns, medications and allergies keeps the consultation focused.
  • Ask about the rest of your day. Tell the doctor your plans for the afternoon and evening so they can advise on aftercare.

Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon is in the Ion City Building, 15F (Room 1501), 74 Seomyeon-ro, Busanjin-gu, a short walk from Seomyeon Station. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 16:00, so a weekday evening appointment after a full shopping day is also possible.

Afternoon and evening: gentle shopping after treatment

After treatment, it is usually fine to keep exploring at a relaxed pace, but a few adjustments help:

  • Stay indoors when the sun is strong. After laser, toning or microneedling, skin can be more sensitive to UV. The underground arcade and department stores are good options.
  • Skip the sauna and spa. Saunas and hot environments are commonly limited for a short time after many procedures.
  • Go easy on alcohol. Alcohol is often advised against for a short period after injections, as it may increase swelling or bruising.
  • Avoid touching or massaging treated areas. Especially after Botox or skin boosters.
  • Do not try samples on treated skin. Wait until the doctor says it is fine to use makeup or new products.

Smart aftercare purchases

Seomyeon's cosmetics shops make it easy to pick up aftercare basics. Before buying, ask the clinic what suits your treatment. Common categories include:

  • Broad-spectrum sunscreen. Important after almost any treatment that affects pigment or the skin surface.
  • A gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser. Useful if your skin feels dry or tight after treatment.
  • A mild cleanser. Avoid strong exfoliants and acids until the doctor says it is safe to restart.
  • A hat or face covering. Practical extra sun protection while sightseeing.

Example treatments and prices for a shopping day

Treatments with little visible downtime tend to suit a day out. Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon first-visit prices in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT is added at payment), checked October 2026. See the full price list.

  • Wrinkle Botox, Korean toxin, 1 area: KRW 3,000
  • Jaw Botox 50 units: KRW 9,900
  • Aquapeel steps 1 and 2: KRW 9,900
  • LDM regeneration mode 6 minutes: KRW 19,000
  • Shurink Universe 300 shots: KRW 55,000

Suitability and results vary, and the doctor decides at consultation. For gentle options, see our Aqua Peel page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I go shopping straight after Botox?

Many people continue with light activities after Botox, but you are usually advised not to rub the area or lie down flat right away. Follow the clinic's instructions.

Where can I store shopping bags during my appointment?

Seomyeon Station has coin lockers, or you can drop bags at your hotel. Ask the clinic if you need to bring a few bags with you.

Is it better to book in the morning or evening?

It depends on your treatment. For treatments that cause redness, an evening slot lets you shop first and rest afterwards.

Can I wear makeup after treatment?

It depends on the procedure. Ask the doctor before applying makeup, especially after injections or laser.
