Why Korean clinics offer treatment packages

Many Korean skin clinics offer packages: bundles of several treatments, or several sessions of one treatment, sold together. For international visitors, packages can look like an easy way to plan a trip, and sometimes they do make sense. But a package is only good value if every part of it suits your skin, you can realistically complete it, and the total price is clear.

This guide explains the common types of packages, how to evaluate them, and how to compare a bundle with paying item by item.

Common types of dermatology packages

  • Multi-session packages. Several sessions of the same treatment, such as a laser or skin booster, usually spaced over weeks.
  • Combination packages. Different treatments on the same day, for example a peel, a laser and a booster.
  • Goal-based packages. Bundles aimed at a concern such as acne scars, pigmentation or lifting.
  • Membership or prepaid credit. Paying an amount in advance to use on future treatments.

Questions to ask about any package

  1. What exactly is included? Ask for device names, shots, units, joules or cc for every item.
  2. Is every item suitable for me? A doctor should confirm each part after examining your skin.
  3. Can I complete it? If you are only in Korea for a few days, a multi-week package may not be realistic.
  4. What is the item-by-item price? Compare the package total with buying only what you need.
  5. Is VAT included? Add 10% to totals shown without VAT.
  6. What are the refund and expiry terms? Ask what happens to unused sessions.
  7. Who performs each treatment? Ask about doctor involvement.

Building your own bundle from listed prices

An alternative to a fixed package is to choose individual treatments with the doctor and total them yourself. At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, published first-visit prices are in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026. Some examples of how listed items add up (illustrations only, not recommendations):

  • Refresh. Aquapeel steps 1 and 2 (9,900 KRW) plus LDM regeneration mode 6 minutes (19,000 KRW): 28,900 KRW.
  • Tone and texture. Pico Light Black Toning (29,000 KRW) plus U-Pulse Fraxel (25,000 KRW): 54,000 KRW.
  • Hydration and lift. Water Glow 2cc (39,000 KRW) plus InMode FX full face (45,000 KRW): 84,000 KRW.
  • Skin quality. Exosome 2.5cc (49,000 KRW) plus Shurink Universe 300 shots (55,000 KRW): 104,000 KRW.

Add 10% VAT to each total. First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. Whether treatments can be combined on one day depends on your skin, and the doctor will advise. Potenza tips are charged separately, and fillers, threads, Juvelook, Sculptra and Thermage FLX are quoted after consultation. See our price list and our non-surgical treatments overview.

Building your own combination has a practical advantage for travellers: you only pay for what the doctor recommends after seeing your skin, and you can add a further session on a later visit instead of committing in advance. It also makes it easier to compare clinics, because you are comparing named treatments with stated amounts rather than package names.

When a package can make sense

  • You will be in Korea long enough. Or you visit regularly and can return for sessions.
  • The treatment typically needs a series. Some lasers, laser hair removal and certain boosters are usually planned as a course.
  • Every item is recommended by the doctor. You are not paying for treatments you do not need.
  • The terms are clear. You understand expiry, transfer and refund rules.

Warning signs to watch for

  • Pressure to decide immediately. You should have time to think.
  • Vague contents. The package lists treatment names but not amounts.
  • Extras you did not ask for. Items included to make the bundle look larger.
  • No consultation. A package sold without a doctor examining your skin.
  • Unclear final price. VAT or other charges added at the end.

Results from any treatment vary and are not guaranteed. Combining treatments can increase temporary redness, swelling or sensitivity, so a doctor should plan the order and timing. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, consult a doctor first.

Frequently asked questions

Are packages always cheaper?

Not necessarily. Compare the package total with the item-by-item price of only the treatments you need.

Can I use a package over several trips?

That depends on the clinic's terms. Ask about expiry dates and conditions before buying.

Do first-visit prices apply within a bundle?

At our clinic, first-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. Ask how later sessions are priced.

How do I pay?

Payment is made at the clinic on the day of treatment, after the consultation confirms your plan.
