What "glass skin" means

"Glass skin" is a K-beauty term for skin that looks smooth, clear, even in tone and hydrated enough to reflect light. It is not a single treatment. In clinics, it usually describes a goal that may be approached through a combination of cleansing, hydration, texture work and tone correction, alongside a consistent home routine and sun protection.

No clinic procedure can make skin look perfect, and real skin always has texture and pores. Glass skin treatments aim to improve skin quality step by step. You can read more on our glass skin page.

How to decide which treatments are worth considering

Rather than booking every treatment, it is more useful to match procedures to what is holding your skin back. Common concerns include:

  • Dehydration. Skin that feels tight or looks dull.
  • Congested pores. Blackheads, sebum build-up or rough texture.
  • Uneven tone. Pigmentation, dark spots or redness.
  • Texture and fine lines. Uneven surface or early lines.
  • Sensitivity. Skin that reacts easily and needs calming.

A doctor will identify which of these matter most for you and suggest a plan. Below are treatment categories often discussed, with listed first-visit prices at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon. All prices are in Korean won, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026.

Cleansing and calming facials

These are often the foundation of a glass skin plan:

  • Aquapeel steps 1 and 2. 9,900 KRW. Aims to cleanse pores and hydrate. See our Aqua Peel page.
  • LDM regeneration mode, 6 minutes. 19,000 KRW. An ultrasound-based skin care treatment often used for calming and hydration support.

These treatments are usually gentle, with little or no downtime. They give a fresh feeling but do not change deeper concerns on their own.

Skin boosters for hydration and texture

Skin boosters are commonly considered the core of a glass skin plan, because they place hydrating or regenerative ingredients directly into the skin:

  • Water Glow, 2cc. 39,000 KRW. Focused on hydration.
  • Exosome, 2.5cc. 49,000 KRW. Often discussed for tired or stressed-looking skin.
  • Rejuran, 2cc. 139,000 KRW. A polynucleotide booster aimed at texture and resilience.

Juvelook, a collagen-stimulating injectable sometimes discussed for pores and texture, is quoted after consultation. Boosters usually leave small bumps, redness or occasional bruising that settle over hours to days. Read more on our skin boosters page.

Laser treatments for tone, clarity and texture

Even tone is a big part of the glass skin look. Options include:

  • Pico Light Black Toning. 29,000 KRW. Often discussed for pigmentation and uneven tone.
  • U-Pulse Fraxel. 25,000 KRW. Often discussed for texture.
  • Capri laser, steps 1 to 3. 89,000 KRW.

Pigmentation concerns like melasma need correct diagnosis and are often treated over several sessions. Strict sun protection is essential after any laser. Some visitors ask about Genesis laser facials or Pico Fraxel; you can ask at consultation which options are available.

Texture and pores

For more noticeable texture or enlarged pores, a doctor may discuss Potenza RF microneedling, listed at 99,000 KRW for the full face, with the tip charged separately. This involves more downtime than a facial, often redness and mild swelling for a few days, so it may suit visitors with a longer stay. Pores cannot be erased completely, because they are a normal part of skin, but their appearance may become less noticeable for some people over a series of treatments. If texture is your main concern, ask the doctor how Potenza compares with fractional laser for your skin type, and how many sessions would be realistic within your travel plans.

Building a realistic plan for your trip

  • Start gentle. A facial and a booster are often a sensible first combination, if the doctor agrees.
  • Space stronger treatments. Lasers and microneedling may need separate days or careful sequencing.
  • Allow time before events. Booster bumps and laser redness can take a day or more to settle.
  • Continue at home. Gentle cleansing, moisturising and daily sunscreen help maintain results.

Results vary, and suitability is decided by the doctor. If you are pregnant or have a skin condition, discuss it before treatment. Full prices are on our price list.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get glass skin in one session?

A single visit may give a fresher, more hydrated look, but lasting improvements in skin quality usually take several treatments and consistent home care.

Which treatment is most important?

It depends on your skin. Dehydrated skin may benefit most from boosters, while uneven tone may need toning. The doctor will prioritise.

Is there downtime?

Facials have little downtime. Boosters and lasers may cause temporary bumps, redness or bruising.
