What Thermage eye treatment is

Thermage FLX can be used around the eyes with a dedicated eye tip designed for the thin, delicate skin of the eyelids and surrounding area. Like Thermage on the face, it uses monopolar radiofrequency (RF) to heat the deeper layers of the skin while cooling the surface. The aim is to encourage collagen contraction and new collagen production, which may lead to firmer, smoother-looking skin around the eyes over time.

The eye area is one of the first places where skin shows signs of thinning and loosening. Many visitors ask about Thermage eye because it is a non-surgical option that does not involve incisions or injections.

Concerns it is often discussed for

  • Mild hooding of the upper eyelids. Slight looseness that makes the lids look heavier.
  • Crepey skin. Fine, papery texture on the lids or under the eyes.
  • Fine lines around the eyes. As part of a broader skin quality plan.
  • Early laxity. People who want to support firmness before more noticeable change.

Thermage eye is less likely to help with significant eyelid skin excess, prominent under-eye bags caused by fat, or deep hollows from volume loss. These concerns may call for different approaches, which a doctor can discuss with you.

Who may be a suitable candidate

Suitability is always decided by a doctor after examination. In general, people considered for Thermage eye tend to have:

  • Mild to moderate eyelid laxity. Rather than heavy drooping.
  • Healthy skin around the eyes. Without active infection, inflammation or irritation.
  • Realistic expectations. Understanding that change is usually subtle and gradual.
  • No contraindications. Such as an implanted electronic device or certain medical conditions.

Tell the doctor if you have had eye surgery, eyelid procedures, fillers or Botox around the eyes, or if you have any eye conditions. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, cosmetic treatments are generally postponed, so please consult a doctor.

Safety around the eyes

Because the eyes are delicate, safety measures are an important part of Thermage eye treatment. These may include protective eye shields placed by trained staff, careful technique and settings appropriate for thin skin. You should always ask how the eyes will be protected during your treatment.

Common, usually temporary reactions include redness, mild swelling of the eyelids and tenderness. Some people notice temporary dryness or sensitivity. Less commonly, heat-related reactions such as blistering can occur. If you experience changes in vision, eye pain or symptoms that worry you, contact a doctor promptly.

What to expect on the day

  1. Consultation. The doctor examines your eyelids and surrounding skin and confirms suitability.
  2. Preparation. Makeup and contact lenses are removed, and the area is cleansed.
  3. Eye protection. Protective measures are put in place as appropriate.
  4. Treatment. The eye tip is applied in pulses, which most people feel as brief heat.
  5. Finishing. The area is cleaned and soothing care may be applied.

Most people return to normal activities the same day. Some patients notice slight tightening soon after, while collagen-related changes tend to appear gradually over the following months. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

Cost of Thermage eye at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon

At Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon, Thermage FLX, including eye treatment, is quoted after an in-person consultation, because the tip and number of shots depend on your plan and on whether the eye area is treated alone or together with the face. Prices are given in KRW, and 10% VAT is added at payment.

If you are also considering other treatments around the eyes, such as wrinkle Botox for crow's feet, mention this at consultation. At our clinic, Wrinkle Botox with Korean toxin for one area, including the eye area, is listed at KRW 3,000, a first-visit price, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026. The doctor will advise whether and when treatments can be combined.

When comparing quotes from clinics, ask whether a genuine eye tip is used, how many shots are included, and who performs the treatment. You can learn more on our Thermage FLX page and see listed treatments on our price list.

Frequently asked questions

Can Thermage eye replace eyelid surgery?

No. It is generally considered for mild to moderate laxity and produces subtle change. Significant skin excess may need a surgical opinion.

Does Thermage eye help with under-eye bags?

Bags caused by fat are less likely to respond to RF tightening. A doctor can explain which option fits the cause.

Can I wear contact lenses afterwards?

Ask the doctor on the day. Many clinics advise waiting until any irritation has settled.

Is it painful?

Most people feel short pulses of heat. Comfort varies, and the doctor can explain how it is managed.
