Visiting a Skin Clinic in Busan From Gimhae Airport: Travel Guide

Gimhae Airport to Seomyeon: the basics
Gimhae International Airport is the main airport for Busan, serving flights from Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and domestic routes. If you are flying in for a skin treatment, the good news is that Seomyeon, the central district where Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon is located, is one of the most straightforward places to reach from the airport. It sits on two subway lines and is a major hub for buses and taxis.
This guide covers your main transport options, how to time your appointment around arrival and departure, and what to keep in mind if you plan treatment close to a flight.
Your transport options
Light rail and subway
The Busan-Gimhae Light Rail runs from the airport to Sasang Station, where you can transfer to Busan Metro Line 2. Line 2 runs to Seomyeon Station, where it meets Line 1. Signs and announcements are in English, and you can pay with a transport card or, at many machines, buy a single-journey ticket. This is usually the most predictable option because it avoids road traffic.
Airport bus
Airport limousine buses connect Gimhae Airport with several central areas of Busan. Routes and stops change from time to time, so check the current information at the airport bus counter or on official transport sites before you travel.
Taxi
Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. A taxi is convenient if you have heavy luggage or are travelling in a group, but journey time depends on traffic, particularly at rush hour. Show the driver the clinic address in Korean on your phone to avoid confusion.
Finding the clinic once you reach Seomyeon
Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon is in the Ion City Building, 15F (Room 1501), 74 Seomyeon-ro, Busanjin-gu. It is a short walk from Seomyeon Station. Seomyeon Station is large and has many exits and an underground shopping arcade, so give yourself a few extra minutes on your first visit and use a map app to choose the closest exit.
- Save the address in Korean. Helpful for taxi drivers and for searching in Korean map apps.
- Use a Korean map app. Naver Map and Kakao Map tend to give more accurate walking directions in Korea than some international apps.
- Drop luggage first if you can. If your hotel is nearby, leave your suitcase before your appointment so you can move comfortably.
Timing your appointment around flights
How you schedule depends on what you plan to have done.
- Arrival day. If you land in the morning, an afternoon or evening appointment can work well. The clinic is open until 20:00 on weekdays and until 16:00 on Saturdays. Allow time for immigration, baggage and transport, and do not book too tightly.
- Middle of the trip. This is often the best time for treatments with visible aftereffects, such as skin boosters, microneedling or fractional laser, because redness or bumps have time to settle.
- Departure day. Choose only light treatments, if any, and leave generous time for the journey back to Gimhae. If you are considering injectables shortly before flying, discuss your flight time with the doctor.
