Why Ultherapy quotes are not all the same

Ultherapy is a well-known focused ultrasound lifting treatment, and Ultherapy Prime is the newer generation of the device. If you contact several Korean clinics, you will probably receive quite different quotes. That can feel confusing, especially when the device name is the same. In practice, the price of an Ultherapy session depends on a set of specific variables, and once you understand them, comparing quotes becomes much easier.

This guide explains the main reasons Ultherapy prices vary between clinics and gives you a checklist for comparing them fairly.

Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to targeted depths beneath the skin, heating tissue in a way intended to stimulate collagen and support a gradual lifting effect. Ultherapy is known for allowing the practitioner to visualise the skin layers during treatment, which helps with placement. Results develop over the following months and vary from person to person.

Ultherapy is usually priced by the number of lines or shots delivered, and by the areas treated. The transducers used to deliver energy are a significant cost for clinics, which is one reason pricing is tied to shot count.

The main reasons prices vary

  • Shot count. A 300-shot session and a larger session are different treatments. Lower shot counts produce lower headline prices.
  • Device generation. Ultherapy and Ultherapy Prime are different generations. Ask which device is used.
  • Genuine transducers. Clinics should use authorised, genuine transducers. Ask how this is verified.
  • Areas and depths. Full face, lower face, under-chin and neck may be planned differently, with different depths.
  • Who performs the treatment. Doctor-performed treatment may be priced differently from treatment delegated to other staff.
  • Numbing and comfort measures. Some clinics include numbing or pain-relief options; others charge separately.
  • Clinic location and overheads. Rent and staffing differ by district.
  • VAT and introductory offers. Some prices exclude 10% VAT or apply only on a first visit.

Ultherapy Prime at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon

Our published first-visit price is in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT added at payment), checked October 2026:

  • Ultherapy Prime 300 shots. 990,000 KRW.

First-visit prices apply once per new patient per item. The doctor will assess your skin and explain how the shots would be distributed. Learn more on our Ultherapy Prime page and see our full price list. We do not quote other clinics' prices.

A checklist for comparing Ultherapy quotes

  1. Write down the shot count. Ask for the total and how it is split between areas.
  2. Confirm the device. Ultherapy or Ultherapy Prime.
  3. Ask about transducers. Are they genuine and authorised?
  4. Ask who treats you. Will the doctor perform the treatment?
  5. Check VAT. Convert all quotes to the same basis.
  6. Check first-visit rules. Ask what a repeat session would cost.
  7. Ask about comfort. What numbing or pain-relief options are offered?

Once these are aligned, any remaining difference reflects the clinic's costs and service model. It is also reasonable to factor in convenience, communication in your language and how comfortable you feel with the doctor's explanation.

Other lifting options to consider

Ultherapy is not the only option, and the most suitable device depends on your skin. Other lifting treatments on our price list (first-visit, KRW, VAT excluded, checked October 2026) include:

  • Shurink Universe 300 shots. 55,000 KRW.
  • ONDA 20,000J. 89,000 KRW.
  • Titanium 30KJ. 290,000 KRW.
  • Sofwave 100 shots. 800,000 KRW.
  • XERF 300 shots. 990,000 KRW.

These use different technologies and are not direct equivalents. The doctor will explain which approach fits your goals.

What to expect after Ultherapy

Ultherapy can be uncomfortable during treatment, and sensitivity varies by area. Afterwards, temporary redness, swelling, tenderness and occasionally bruising or numbness can occur. Most people return to normal activities soon, but individual experiences vary. Results are gradual, not immediate, and are not guaranteed. If you are pregnant, have implants in the treatment area or a medical condition, consult a doctor before treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Is a higher Ultherapy price always better?

Not necessarily. Compare shot count, device, transducers, doctor involvement and VAT to understand what you are paying for.

Is 300 shots enough for a full face?

It depends on your face and goals. The doctor will explain how shots would be distributed after examining you.

How long until I see results?

Effects develop gradually over the following months and vary between individuals.

Can I combine Ultherapy with other treatments?

Sometimes. The doctor decides whether a combination is suitable and how to schedule it.
