Potenza in brief

Potenza is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device. Fine needles enter the skin to a chosen depth and release RF energy at their tips, heating the deeper layers to stimulate collagen remodelling. In Korea it is commonly used for acne scars, enlarged pores, oily or acne-prone skin, and general texture. Because the price you pay depends on several factors, it helps to understand how Potenza is usually priced before you book.

Potenza price at Daybeau Clinic Seomyeon

At our clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, the listed price is:

  • Potenza full face: KRW 99,000. The tip is not included and is charged separately.

This is a first-visit price in KRW, VAT excluded (10% VAT is added at payment), checked October 2026. The first-visit price applies once per new patient per item. The cost of the tip depends on which tip the doctor selects for your concern, and you will be told before treatment. See the full price list, and our Potenza page for more detail on the treatment.

Why tips are charged separately

Potenza uses disposable or single-patient tips, and there are several types designed for different purposes. For example, some tips are designed for scars and deeper remodelling, while others target pores, acne or more delicate areas. Because the tip is chosen to suit your skin, it makes sense for it to be priced separately rather than built into one fixed number.

When you compare Potenza prices between clinics, always check:

  • Whether the tip is included. A low headline price may not include it.
  • The treated area. Full face, partial face, or add-on areas like the neck.
  • Whether VAT is included. Korean clinics vary in how they display VAT.
  • First-visit versus regular price. Many clinics offer an introductory price for a first treatment.
  • Numbing and aftercare. Ask whether these are part of the price.

What drives price differences in Korea

Prices for RF microneedling vary across Korean cities and clinics. Instead of comparing numbers alone, consider what is behind them:

  • Who performs the treatment. Whether a doctor sets the depth and energy and is involved in the procedure.
  • Device and tip authenticity. Genuine equipment and tips cost more to maintain.
  • Treatment intensity. The number of passes and depths used affect time and tip use.
  • Location and overheads. Rent and staffing differ between neighbourhoods and cities.
  • Language support. Consultations in English, Japanese and Korean take time and staff.

How many sessions are usually needed?

Potenza is typically done as a series. The number depends on the goal:

  • Acne scars. Scar remodelling is gradual, so several sessions spaced weeks apart are common.
  • Pores and oiliness. Some people notice a change after one or two sessions, while others need more.
  • Maintenance. After a course, occasional sessions may be suggested to keep results.

The doctor gives you an estimate at consultation, but results vary and the actual number is adjusted to how your skin responds. You only pay for the session you have on the day, at the clinic, after the consultation confirms the plan.

Some plans also combine Potenza with other treatments, such as a fractional laser for surface texture, toning for post-acne marks, or a skin booster for hydration. Each item is priced separately according to the price list, so ask for a written breakdown of the full plan if you want to budget for several visits. Treatments not on the price list, such as fillers for deep scars, are quoted after an in-person consultation.

Tips for getting the most from treatment

  • Arrive with clean skin. Numbing cream is usually applied before treatment, so allow extra time.
  • Pause irritating actives. Retinoids and exfoliating acids are often paused around treatment. Ask the doctor about timing.
  • Plan around downtime. Expect redness and possibly tiny needle marks for a few days. Avoid scheduling an important event the next day.
  • Protect from sun. Use sunscreen daily, as treated skin can darken with UV exposure.
  • Mention your history. Tell the doctor about cold sores, keloids, pregnancy, or recent acne medication.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Potenza tip?

The tip is charged separately and depends on which tip is chosen for your skin. The clinic will confirm the cost at consultation, before treatment starts.

Is VAT included in the KRW 99,000 price?

No. Prices are listed excluding VAT, and 10% VAT is added at payment.

Can I have Potenza on my first day in Busan?

Often yes, after the consultation. Just keep a few days of mild redness in mind when planning sightseeing and photos.

Does Potenza hurt?

Numbing cream is used, so most people describe heat and pressure rather than sharp pain, though it varies with depth and individual sensitivity.
